    Fritz Wunderlich, born Friedrich Karl Otto Wunderlich, was a German opera singer (lyric tenor).

    He was born in 1930 in Kusel, a town in the Rhine-Palatinate region of Germany. At the age of five, Wunderlich lost his father to suicide due to financial struggles.
