Gillu Written by Mahadevi Verma Born in 1907, Mahadevi Verma was undoubtedly a leading poetess of the Chhayavadi School of poetry in Hindi.
She had earned high reputation as a poet an story writer and editor of the famous Hindi. Weekly ‘Chand’. Among some of her important works are Deep Shikha, Yania, Nlhar (all poetry books), ‘Shrinkhla Ki Kadiyan, Mera Parlwar’.
She had the honour of receiving “Mangla Prasad Prize”, ’’Bharat Bharti Award” and the “Gyan Peeth Award”.
