Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy Biography
Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy served as the 9th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh two times in 1983 and from 1992 to 1994. He belonged to Indian National Congress.
He was elected as the member of Lok Sabha six times, in the years 1922, 1984, 1989, 1991, 1996 and 1998. He served as the Union Cabinet Minister and member of many parliamentary committees.

Vijaya Bhaskara Reddy was born on 16th August 1920 in Amakathadu, Laddagiri Villaga in Kurnool District of Andhra Pradesh. He studied at Besant Theosophical College, Madanapalle and Madras Law College at Madras.
He was an agriculturist, lawyer, political and social worker by profession. He married K. Shyamla Reddy and had two sons and three daughters. His son Kotla Surya Prakash Reddy is a member of the parliament representing Kurnool Parliamentary constituency for the second term.
